KAJIAN KAEDAH INTERVENSI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIK SEKOLAH RENDAH MENGGUNAKAN LATIHAN STROOP DAN LATIHAN BIOFEEDBACK
A Study of Primary School Mathematics Learning Intervention Methods using Stroop and Biofeedback Training

Abstract: Intervention programs are very important in helping students who are weak in learning mathematics at school. This study aims to see how the Stroop training technique and Biofeedback training can be used to help students to improve coherence score performance and also academic performance. Previous studies prove that Stroop training can help individuals improve concentration and Biofeedback training techniques also help individuals to improve their cognitive performance and concentration. The sample of this study consists of 20 low-achieving students from primary schools in Jerantut district, Pahang. They were randomly selected to conduct 2 training sessions, namely Stroop Training and Biofeedback Training which will take 30 minutes. Collected self-change data involved analysis of VLF, LF, and HF power spectrum scores. Analysis of the mean data of the HRV spectrum score, the mean data of the Stroop Exercise and the pre/post test were used to see the increase in the HRV score and the academic improvement of the students. Findings show that there is an increase in students' HRV scores and academic performance after these students follow Stroop Training and Biofeedback Training. This study shows that the Stroop Training technique and Biofeedback training can be used as an effective method to help weak students to improve students' academic achievement.
Abstrak: Program intervensi amat penting dalam membantu pelajar yang lemah pembelajaran Matematik di sekolah Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana teknik latihan Stroop dan latihan Biofeedback boleh digunakan untuk membantu pelajar bagi meningkatkan prestasi skor koheren dan juga prestasi akademik. Kajian lalu membuktikan bahawa latihan Stroop boleh membantu individu meningkatkan daya tumpuan dan teknik latihan Biofeedback juga membantu individu untuk meningkatkan prestasi kognitif dan konsentrasi mereka. Sampel kajian ini terdiri daripada 20 orang pelajar yang berpencapaian rendah dari sekolah rendah di daerah Jerantut, Pahang. Mereka dipilih secara rawak untuk menjalankan 2 sesi latihan iaitu Latihan Stroop dan Latihan Biofeedback yang akan mengambil masa selama 30 minit. Data perubahan diri yang dikumpul melibatkan analisis skor spektrum kuasa VLF, LF, dan HF. Analisis data min skor spektrum HRV, data min Latihan Stroop dan ujian pra/pos digunakan untuk melihat peningkatan skor HRV dan peningkatan akademik pelajar. Dapatan menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan dalam skor HRV pelajar dan prestasi akademik selepas pelajar-pelajar ini mengikuti Latihan Stroop dan Latihan Biofeedback. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa teknik Latihan Stroop dan latihan Biofeedback boleh dijadikan kaedah berkesan untuk membantu pelajar lemah bagi meningkatkan pencapaian akademik pelajar.
