Happiness is an important element in human’s life. In the era of globalization and economic acceleration, humans are exposed to the pressures of work, self-status achievement and relationship problems with others. Happiness becomes a medium that can improve the well-being of human psychological elements. In achieving this desire, cultural elements become an important factor. Therefore, this study aims to explore the influence of culture through the construct of individualism and collectivism on individual happiness. This is a qualitative study using a scoping review method. Study revealed that constructs of individualism and collectivism that exist in a person's culture will affect their self-achievement and further determine aspects of the individual's happiness. Thus, understanding this cultural concept is significant in understanding human needs and desires to achieve happiness. Furthermore, it can be used as a guideline and basis in helping relationships and the development of policies related to increasing social mobility and the quality of human life.
