PUBLISHING RIGHTS

By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Biotechnology, authors confirm that the work is entirely original. The manuscript must not have been previously published partly or fully, nor is it under review or consideration elsewhere, whether in print or electronic form. This requirement upholds the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding duplicate publication and simultaneous submissions.

Once a manuscript passes the thorough peer review and is accepted, the author(s) agree to the journal's publishing terms. They grant the Journal of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Biotechnology and Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Press (UMPSA Press) exclusive first publication rights. UMPSA Press also obtains the rights to be the official publisher of the "Version of Record," enabling it to format, reproduce, distribute, archive, and index the work worldwide in academic databases and repositories.

Authors keep strong control over their work even while granting UMPSA Press robust freedoms. Authors are fully allowed and encouraged to share the final published article right after it appears in institutional repositories, on personal websites, or through scholarly networks. This approach supports global transparency principles and best practices for maximising the visibility and impact of scientific research.
