AIMS AND SCOPE

The Journal of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Biotechnology (JCEIB) seeks to publish original, high-quality research covering both fundamental and applied aspects of chemical and bioprocess engineering. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for analytical and experimental studies that contribute significantly to the field.

Types of Contributions In addition to full-length research articles, JCEIB encourages the submission of:

  • Critical Reviews: Manuscripts that address significant challenges, bridge existing knowledge gaps, and provide strategic directions for future research.

  • Technical Guides: Comprehensive reviews that serve as a valuable reference for academic and industrial practitioners.

Research Clusters and Keywords The scope of the journal is categorized into the following core thematic areas:

  • Reaction Engineering: Chemical kinetics, reaction mechanisms, and catalysis.

  • Advanced Materials: Nanomaterials, bio composites, polymers, and mineral processing/mining.

  • Transport Phenomena & Separation Processes: Heat and mass transfer, and advanced liquid-liquid or solid-liquid separation techniques.

  • Process Systems Engineering: Modelling, simulation, and optimization; process control and dynamics; heat integration; and industrial process safety and health.

  • Environmental Engineering: Innovative wastewater treatment and pollution control strategies.

  • Industrial Biotechnology & Bioprocess Engineering: Fermentation technology, bioreactor design, and enzymatic processes.

JCEIB also welcomes multidisciplinary submissions that demonstrate a clear correlation with the broader field of chemical engineering.
