About the Journal

The Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences (JMES), ISSN: 2289-4659 (Print); 2231-8380 (Online) is an international, peer-reviewed platinum open-access journal published by the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Pekan, Malaysia. This means that all content is freely available without any embargo or charge to the user(s) or institution(s). Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any lawful purpose as long as proper acknowledgement is given to the authors of the original work, without asking prior permission from the author or publisher.  The journal's scope is multi-disciplinary to bring together mechanical engineering and materials science aspects.

The Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences publishes original full-length research articles on analytical, computational modeling, structural mechanics, metal forming, behavior and application of advanced materials, impact mechanics, strain localization and other effects of nonlinearity, fluid mechanics, robotics, tribology, thermodynamics, and materials processing. Review articles that address significant challenges in the field and critical reviews that address and minimise knowledge gaps, provide good direction, or provide a valuable guide to the readers are encouraged to submit.
