Abstract

Solar photovoltaic installation system is a natural energy generation technology through solar power. High demand for solar system installations by consumers in homes and buildings as well as government policy recommendations on energy sources from natural to save costs and reduce the use of existing resource materials. As the solar industry sector grows, job opportunities also increase. The less of half-skilled labour has led to a lack of competitiveness among solar installations, resulting in high installation costs. The workforce is also not adequately trained before being in real employment. Basic training is needed to further strengthen existing skills and provide a preview of the real-world situation of the solar photovoltaic systems industry through appropriate training kits. Imported training kits from abroad will cost a lot of money and its use is based on simple theory and experimentation. The purpose of this study is to obtain information and development requirements for training equipment related to photovoltaic solar installation system to the industrial needs in Malaysia. This study uses qualitative methods with thematic analysis of interview protocols. Three experts who were directly involved in the solar photovoltaic installation industry were interviewed.
