We highly recommended author(s) use the template of our journal. It can be downloaded here.

Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.

Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to IJIM. These instructions will ensure we have everything required so your paper can move through peer review, production and publication smoothly. Please take the time to read and follow them as closely as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal's requirements. Please note we provide our author's flexibility in formatting their manuscripts.

A well-formatted manuscript follows all journal instruction. All elements of the manuscript are printed in English with 1-inch margins at the top, bottom, and sides. Right margins are unjustified with Times New Roman, Size 12 pts and 1.5 line-spaced.

Submissions should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition. The title page, references, tables, and figures are not included in the word count. View a short overview of notable changes from APA 6 to APA 7.

Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal's Focus & Scope and submit work that marks a new and demonstratively significant advancement to the field. Authors are encouraged to review the criteria used to evaluate manuscripts in our double-blind peer-review process.

IJIM is an open-access journal. There are no fees to individual authors, and authors are allowed to self-archive their work. Please read our complete Statement on Open Access.

IJIM accepts the following forms of contributions:

• Original paper: 5000-10000 word standard research paper with tables, statistics and references included
• Review paper: Comprehensive review of the recent area of research within the framework of the journal using a detailed state-of-the-art analysis with words between 10,000 and 12,000 words

Author's Ethics in Publishing

Writers must ensure that they have written entirely original pieces and that they are appropriately quoted if they have used the writing and/or vocabulary of other individuals. Writers should not submit a paper to more than one journal or primary source of publication at the same time and should not submit a previously published paper.

Author's Declaration of Competing Interest

Both writers must report financial and personal arrangements with others or organisations, which can affect (bias) their work improperly. Examples include employment, consulting agencies, stock-owned companies, fees, paid testimonies of experts, patent applications/registrations and grants or other finances. The competitive interest declaration in the template given should be completed by the writer.

Author's Submission Declaration and Verification

Application of an article means that the work mentioned has never been published before and that it is not considered to be published somewhere else, and that the publishing of the article is approved by all the contributors, and if authorised, would not be published otherwise, in English or in any other language. The original detection software Turnitin will be used to review the article for verification of originality.

Preprints

Please notice that preprints can be exchanged in compliance with the journal sharing policy anytime at any time. Preprint sharing will not be regarded as a previous edition.

Author's Use of Inclusive Language

Each language embraces diversity, honours all people, is aware of disparities and encourages equality of opportunity. The material should make no claims as to the views or responsibilities of any reader. It should not be made to suggest, for reasons of age, gender, race, nationality, tradition, sexual identity, disability or health, that one person is superior to another; and it should be made accessible in all languages. Writing should be free of racism, prejudices, and slang as well as a guide to prevailing cultures and/or cultures. This journal strongly encourages the use of plural nouns to discourage the use of 'he,' or 'he/she' as a default/as far as possible, using the following novels ('clinicians, patients/clients). It is strongly encouraged to avoid the use of descriptors that apply to personal characteristics, including age, gender, race, community, sexual identity, disease or the state of health without having recourse to and confirmation. The purpose of these guidelines is to define the relevant vocabulary, but they are not exhaustive.

Author's Contributions

For clarity, the journal urges writers to submit the author's declaration form by outlining individual author contributions with the accompanying CRediT roles: conceptualisation; data curation; structured analysis; funding procurement, research; methodology; project management; resources; software; monitoring; Validation; Roles / writing-initial draught; Writing-revision & editions. Authorship declarations should first be formatted, and CRediT roles should be followed.

Author's Changes of Authorship

Before publishing, the author's list and order should be considered carefully, and at the time of the initial submission, the final list of writers should be provided. Any extension, elimination or rearrangement of the authors' names in the author's list is only required before approval and only if the journal manager has accepted the manuscript. For requesting this change, the publisher must receive a written confirmation (e-mail) from all the writers that they accept, delete or rearrange from the relevant author: (a) the reasons for the author list change, and (b) the written confirmation. The publisher will consider adding, removing, or rearranging authors only under extraordinary cases after the acceptance of the manuscript. The publisher will delay the manuscript's publication while reviewing the submission. If the manuscript has already been published in an online issue, any requests approved by the Editor will result in a corrigendum.

Author's Role of the Funding Source

The authors are requested to specify who sponsored financially for the research and/or preparation of the paper, and, if any, to explain the role of the sponsor(s) in the design of the experiments, gather, evaluate and interpret the data, compose the report, and submit the article. If the source(s) of financing has no participation, this should be mentioned before the reference list at the end of the article.

Language (usage and editing services)

Writers should write in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these). The journal did not provide any copyediting and English proofreading or such a facility, but routine English checking and formating.

Submission

The submission of a paper under the OJS will take you through the entry and upload of the documents. All correspondence, including notices of opinions and revisions from the publisher, shall be sent via e-mail.

Use of word processing software

To avoid unnecessary errors, you are strongly advised to use the 'spell-check' and 'grammar-check functions of your word processor.

The file needs to be saved in the native word processor format used. The wording should be in one column format. Maintain as simple a text layout as possible. When the article is processed, most formatting codes will be removed and replaced. In particular, do not use the options of the word processor to justify or hyphenate words. But use boldface, cursor's, subscripts, superscripts etc. Use only one grid for each table when planning tables and not a grid for each row if you use a table grid. Use tabs, not spaces, to align columns when no grid is used.

It would be best if you used spell-check and grammar-check functions in your word processor to prevent unwanted errors.
